Breakfast Breaks

Thanks to the ladies at Mom Central, we were given a sample of BreakfastBREAKS. Ashlyn just loves to see these packages waiting for us. I do too because I love trying new things.

In my house, and most houses, there is never enough time. I would exercise if I had more time. I would eat better if I had time to good a good meal. If I had more time......

One thing we have been trying to be better about is eating breakfast. Breakfast is an important meal and I want to make sure we have time for it each and every day. The kids get breakfast at their sitter's house during the week. But we have breakfast at home on the weekends. You know how busy those weekends can be though!

BreakfastBREAKS are a great solution to the time problem with breakfast. If you need to be somewhere quickly- it comes in a grab 'n go container. Inside each box is a juice, cereal bowl, and a snack. We were able to try the container with the Honeynut Cheerios and also the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Both of these varieties come with apple juice and a fruit and grain bar. The intention is that you have the cereal and juice for breakfast and the snack later. But Ashlyn and I split the box for breakfast. She had the cereal and juice. I had the fruit and grain bar as my breakfast. This was perfect to eat on the go- Ashlyn eats a lot of her cereal dry (no milk) to begin with so all we had to do was pull the top of the cereal bowl and she could begin eating. If you are able to add milk- you have a complete breakfast!

You can also get breakfastBREAKS in regular Cheerios and Lucky Charms. These two come with apple juice as well. But the Lucky Charms comes with graham cracker for snack and the Cheerios comes with raisins as the snack.

My FAVORITE part of the whole thing- the kit comes with a napkin, spoon, AND wet wipe to clean up hands and faces when all done. You know how sticks kid fingers get when eating - this even gives you the chance to wipe them off before you run into where ever it is you are going. (and you don't have to think about it ahead of time since they included it for you!)

Check these out at your grocery store and see what you think.

Those sound SO handy. I think I' ready for breakfast now...even though it's 8:30pm. Sigh. I wonder if they sell them over here in Canada yet? :)

Those looks yummy! I sure would love to try that (for Matt) if it's available here. He's not really so fond of cereals and only eats Koko Krunch sometimes. He's a rice person like everyone of us. hehhe.

BTW, I clicked on the TopMomma again. Hehe.

I'm so sure that was invented by a mom on the go. Great idea!

Sounds like a true time saver. Now, if only they'd package a cardio and a good ab workout in a box . . .

I don't know..it just seems like a scam to charge more for already high priced items like cereal. How hard is it to grab a couple things off the shelf?
