Random Recipes

Random Recipes
Welcome to the next edition of Random Recipes. This week the challenge was to post a picnic recipe in honor of Memorial Day. What better way to kick the weekend into gear then with some fabulous food recipes, right?

This week I have a top secret family recipe for you! Don't ya feel honored? I know you do- you can thank my by sending checks in the mail to me, no amount is too big or small....hee hee hee!

My recipe is my brother's pasta salad recipe. Anytime we have a family gathering, it is his job to make and bring this dish. Then I beg for the leftovers. So he finally just told me how to make it. Seriously though, that is way too much work- I prefer for him to make it and me to eat it!

What? You are tired of my ramblings and just want the freaking recipe already? Okay, okay....here it is!

Pasta Salad
Need:
2 bottles of Italian Zesty dressing
1/4 lb hard salami
1/4 lb ham
1/4 lb provolone cheese
1/8 lb pepperoni
1 large box rigatoni pasta (or your favorite kind)
2 stalks celery
1/2 jar olives (go on last)
2 large tomato
1 pack dry Italian mix

Directions:
Cook noodles (let cool before mixing with other ingredients). Dice ingredients. Mix 1 large Italian zesty dressing and pack of dry mix. (I pour dry mix into dressing bottle and shake it up to mix it together) In large container, combine noodles, diced ingredients, and mixed dressing. Be sure to mix/toss ingredients well so everything is coated with the dressing. Let sit overnight. About 2 to 3 hours before serving, add olives and the other bottle of dressing.

So, what random picnic goodies do you have for us this week?

YUMMY!!! Alright Alright. . . I need to get my rear in gear and actually participate in this recipe thing this time. . . I'm gonna think about it and find something great and come back and share. I'm just going crazy with busy(ness) that I can't seem to get anything done. Grrrr. I haven't posted like I've wanted and now I hear the sink in the bathroom and tub running and I know I'm going to find a huge mess in there as it's Kya in there alone! AHHHH! Gotta go!

I have been looking for a really good pasta salad. I have this boxed one by Kraft (I think) that I like.... but I don't love it. And I'm pretty sure I have found the recipe for the one I will love. That sounds soooooo good!
