I'm headed out tonight to the Redneck Mommy Awards. Fear not, I will be teasing my hair too high and using lots of hair spray. And one can't forget the too tight jeans and belly shirt I shall be sporting. Why do I get to be at such a prestigious awards show? Let me tell you...
It might have something to do with the bag of garbage you will see sitting on my kitchen floor on any given day. Or maybe the pile of lumber that has taken up residence on my lawn. Okay, 0kay, I know, that barely qualifies me for a nomination much less to win. So hubby chipped in and got himself a nice, dark, 'Farmers' tan to help out the cause. That just about clinched me a win. But my kids are the real reason I get to win tonight. You see, Ashlyn decided it was just too hot the other day and was running around outside in a shirt and underwear. Riley was in only a diaper. I assure you- I was fully clothed.
Since you managed to stick with me this far- here is some picture goodness as a reward!
Ashlyn really wants a pool- this is the best we could do for her. We are accepting donations for the "Ashlyn Pool Fund"- contact me if you would like to contribute.
Seriously, contact me and help this poor girl out....she tried sitting in the bucket to cool off.....we need to help her!
Since the Bucket Cup didn't work so well for Riley, he opted to try it as a drum instead.

Dude, that poor girl needs a pool! LOL That is the funniest thing I've ever seen! Poor girl with her bum in a bucket!
Then I guess we're rednecks, too, b/c we were too lazy to put the girls suits on the other night and just told them to swim nekked. They loved it and my husband was only slightly embarassed that they loved it!

I think I beat you for the redneck mommy award...last week my washer broke so we bought a new one. Well, guess where the old one is sitting? You got it, under the carport, right where God and every neighbor I have can see it! I asked my wonderful hubby when he could take it off, and he said "maybe I can take a day off work to do it!" aaarrrggghhh, and men say we are drama queens! I'm thinking about calling Junk Be Gone...
