Summer Ideas

Since Gary now starts work at his new job right after the 4th of july, I will be home with the kids for the summer. I have a few ideas of things I would like to try with them - library days, playground trips, tie die shirts- but I am in need of many more ideas of things to do this summer. Riley is a terror when we are home- he does things just to make Ashlyn or I mad- and he doens't stop there, he just keeps pushing and pushing until someone is screaming and crying (usually me!). So in order to save my sanity- I need to keep them busy. Please share all your summer fun ideas- what do you do to have fun in the summer? what do you do to keep your kids busy and from fighting all summer long?

Seriously- if you don't help me, I'm going to go insane. I will have to call SuperNanny and then the whole world will know my dirty secret that I can't handle my 2 year old. So, please, save me from all that and just share your good ideas :)

I can't handle my 2 year old either. So if you call Super Nanny- send her to me when you're done!

To keep Hailey busy we do crafty things- she loves that kind of stuff and I can bribe her that we won't make a project if she doesn't make good choices. You can check out my craft blog for ideas. There's always down time in front of the TV and lots and lots of time outside.

water...N could play in water all day and all night. A baby pool is heaven to him. He runs in and out and splashes.
Sand box?

1-800-call-kelly! Seriously, if it weren't for hanging out with friends (especially ones with kids) I'd go crazy.

Alright, I see the pool/water idea. . . I was hoping there was more as I'm going insane on what to do with my kiddos! ;)

I'm running out of ideas too! We have a sand table, a wading pool, plus the community pool for outside activities. But it has been so HOT here, that outdoor activities are not good in the afternoon. We're stuck inside!

I've just started doing some crafts with Ladybug, but I don't have a lot of patience and I hate messes. So we read a lot, play with animals, play chase. Oh, and potty training too. That is taking up so much more of our time than I ever expected. Sitting on the bathroom floor waiting for something to happen is the norm around here!
